Local Professionals Join CCMS College and Career Day

CCMS Career day

CCMS students flew paper airplanes, did CPR on a dummy, and got to explore the cab of a semi-truck during the Colt’s College and Career Day at Crook County Middle School on Friday, Feb. 7.

The annual event gives students an opportunity to learn about college and careers ranging from aviation sciences to construction and to foster a college and career-ready culture at CCMS.

Representatives from three colleges and 18 different career fields met with student groups throughout the day. Presenters provided a brief introduction to their career, discussed personal college experience, and presented a career demonstration.

Leading Edge Flight Academy gave one student a free ticket for a Discovery Flight on an airplane and another student a Discovery Flight on a helicopter.
