Each year, community organizations and businesses are invited to the Crook County Middle School Health Fair to set up displays for students to learn about various health care, search and rescue, and emergency medical professions. The students receive passports to encourage them to visit each station and ask questions. They also learn about nutrition, such as how much fat is in a grilled cheese sandwich or how much sugar is in a soda. Pictured here, students ask questions about ‘Girls Circle,’ an after school program for middle school girls.
